Cox & Cox
I work at a desk right opposite my husband so the prospect of gazing lovingly into his eyes in the evening doesn't really appeal, not even on Valentine's night.
So we're going out with some friends next Thursday when he can gaze lovingly into someone else's eyes if he wants.
But for those of you who are a little bit more romantic (or are still trying to impress your other half), I reckon you can't go far wrong with a little gift from Cox & Cox.
Visit the Be My Valentine section on their (excellent) website and choose from a selection of heart-shaped sparklers, chocolates packaged in romantic messages, heart-shaped soaps, sugar cubes etc.
Somehow all the items manage to stay on the cute side of tacky, which is no mean feat given the syrup that coats most Valentine's gifts.
And they're all small enough not to make a big deal of the occasion but big enough to prove it isn't just the thought that counts.
That's what Cox & Cox do really well, I think - little gifts that are a bit different from what you'll find elsewhere and (for the most part) won't break the bank.
Go and have a look for yourself - I imagine my husband's already there filling up his shopping basket...
