The Gluttonous Gardener
I love the idea of gardening - it's just the execution that I don't find much fun.
Luckily, in London no-one apart from the Queen can afford much more than a window box - and I don't envy her her Sundays spent weeding all the Buckingham Palace flower beds.
Which is why I think The Gluttonous Gardener is such a good idea - a fantastic array of presents for gardening 'enthusiasts' like me.
It's been going for over a decade (based just round the corner from us) but I only came across it recently via a leaflet in our local deli, and I'm already imagining who I will give what to as presents.
(I of course am at a bit of a disadvantage - unlike you, I can't give anything from hush as presents.)
There are a number of boxes themed accourding to the taste of the recipient - the Lavender Lover's Crate, the Beer Crate and Thai Chef's Crate, for example.
And a number of boxes themed by occasion - the Christening Crate, Wedding Day and the Anniversary Crate to name but three.
Each box contains a plant and a complementary present with prices starting at about £30.
The Passion Pack, for instance, contains a ready-to-plant Blue Passion flower, fresh passion fruits and a bottle of Champagne.
And the Extra Lemon crate houses a little lemon tree in a terracotta pot, some lemon and honey marmalade and a jar of lemon curd.
Just the kind of gardening I like...
